The Role

Experienced UI/UX Designer for data rich enterprise SaaS applications. This is a rare opportunity to be involved in the development of a complex, ground-breaking enterprise software product at the early stages of its development.

About You

We’re looking for a UI/UX Lead, with the skills to solve complex data visualisation problems in a new market, whilst simultaneously providing the “wow” factor look-and-feel for our SaaS platform. Your responsibilities will include gathering user requirements and turning those requirements into journeys through the product. In addition, you’ll be building visuals that will wow customers and prospects alike. It’s a great opportunity to make your mark, whilst learning new skills and solving creative challenges.

Part of a small, focused team, you will be used to working in a proactive manner with Product Managers, Developers and QA engineers in an agile environment. An analytical problem solver, you will be an expert with modern design tools, techniques and processes that have evolved around cloud delivered SaaS products and always be looking for opportunities to make improvements. You are ideally interested in a flexible working environment where your contribution is valued as much for your ideas as your designs.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Gather and evaluate user requirements and run ideation sessions in collaboration with product managers, engineers, customers, prospects, and other key stakeholders.
  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps.
  • Design user interfaces, from standalone elements, like menus, tabs and widgets through to entire functional sites.
  • Work closely with product management and engineering to ensure your masterpieces are correctly translated into workable software.
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness).
  • Create, maintain and enforce a comprehensive product style-guide.
  • Produce HTML 5, JavaScript or other code to support the prototypes you have designed.

Essential Skills

  • Extensive experience working with modern tools and frameworks including Figma, HTML, CSS and React.
  • Ability to think outside of the box and be truly “creative” and original.
  • Portfolio of design projects.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of design software and UX tools.
  • Experience working with UI/UX designers and Product Management as a team, setting expectations and modifying prototype designs to match development and technology constraints. This includes analysing underlying data and its impact and constraints on business requirements.
  • Good communication skills, experience working in an agile and geographically distributed environment.
