HOUSTON and LONDON, January 14, 2009 - Scalable Software, a leader in IT Asset Lifecycle Management solutions, today announced the release of WinINSTALLTM 10, the newest version of its PC lifecycle and configuration management solution.

WinINSTALL 10 has been designed to help customers solve real-world IT problems such as managing too many products from different vendors, managing large distributed enterprise computing environments, and preparing for the daunting task of migrating to the Windows Vista operating system.

Another major enhancement in version 10 is secure disk decommission. WinINSTALL 10 PXE includes two predefined “erase rules” that follow US Dept. of Defense guidelines, and also allows administrators to create custom erase rules. In addition to decommissioning, the erase rules can be applied during a regular client reset. The hard drive (or drives) is first securely erased, and then the new operating system is installed followed by a load set of applications.
